Orchids The International School is looking for a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join our academic team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging, student-centered English lessons that develop students’ reading, writing, listening, speaking, vocabulary, grammar, and critical-thinking skills . The teacher will create an inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, confidence, and a genuine love for the English language and literature.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan and deliver well-structured English lessons aligned with the school curriculum.
- Teach grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, creative writing, literature, and communication skills.
- Use innovative teaching methodologies, activities, and technology to make learning interactive and engaging.
- Assess student learning through assignments, tests, projects, and classroom activities, and provide constructive feedback.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.
- Develop students’ oral and written communication, confidence, creativity, and critical-thinking skills.
- Organize and participate in activities such as reading clubs, debates,



storytelling, presentations, and other literary events.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers to support interdisciplinary learning.
- Support students in preparing for examinations, competitions, presentations, and other academic activities.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate student progress to parents during parent-teacher meetings.
- Contribute to the overall academic and co-curricular development of students.

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field ; Master’s degree preferred.
- B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification .
- Prior experience teaching English at the primary or secondary school level.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
- Strong communication, presentation, classroom-management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to use up-to-date teaching methodologies and educational technology.
- A creative, student-focused approach to teaching.
- Passion for education and the ability to inspire students to develop a love for English and literature.
