Role Overview

We are looking for an SDE-1 – PHP/Laravel Developer to join our engineering team and work on developing and maintaining web applications and backend services.

The candidate should have good knowledge of PHP, Laravel, MVC, REST APIs, and databases, along with good programming and problem-solving skills. This role is suitable for a developer who can independently work on well-defined tasks while collaborating with senior developers, QA, frontend engineers, and product teams.

Key responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain applications using PHP and Laravel.
- Work with MVC architecture and follow Laravel best practices.
- Design and develop secure, high-performance backend solutions.
- Develop and maintain REST APIs, including implementing API authentication using JWT.
- Work with MySQL and PostgreSQL databases.
- Write clean, readable, reusable, and maintainable code.
- Work with Laravel Jobs, Queues, Events, Listeners, and Scheduled Tasks.
- Integrate and work with third-party APIs and external services.
- Debug and resolve application issues and bugs.
- Use Git and follow the team’s branching and pull request workflow.
- Apply AI-assisted development practices to improve productivity, code quality, debugging,testing, and problem-solving.

Skills/Qualifications:





- Proficiency in PHP 8+ and Laravel is required.
- Strong understanding of MVC architecture and Laravel best practices is expected. Experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL databases is required.
- Hands-on experience with REST APIs and JWT authentication is preferred.
- Good knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery is required.
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles is expected. Experience with Git and version control workflows is required.
- Hands-on experience with Laravel Jobs and Queues is preferred.
- Experience integrating third-party APIs and external services is required.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills are essential.
- Ability to write clean, reusable, and maintainable code is required.
- Basic understanding of secure and high-performance backend development is expected.

Good to have:

- Familiarity with React.js  Basic Docker knowledge
- Basic understanding of Generative AI / LLM APIs Basic AWS knowledge
