– SCM Head (FMCG / Food Industry)

Position Title: Supply Chain Head

Department: Supply Chain Management

Location: Vashi (HO)

Experience Required: Minimum 10 years in Supply Chain (FMCG / Food Industry preferred)

1. Role Overview The SCM Head will lead end‑to‑end supply chain operations across 4–5 Distribution Centers (DCs), ensuring seamless inbound, warehousing, outbound, logistics, and customer fulfilment. The role demands strong expertise in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), food industry compliance, and high‑volume FMCG operations.

2. Key Responsibilities

- Strategic Supply Chain Planning
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with business goals.
- Ensure cost‑effective, productive movement of goods across all DCs.
- Warehouse & Distribution Management
- Oversee operations of 4–5 DCs including storage, dispatch, inventory control.
- Ensure adherence to food safety norms, FIFO/FEFO, hygiene standards.
- WMS & Technology
- Manage and optimize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Drive automation, digital reporting, and operational accuracy.
- Inventory & Demand Planning
- Maintain optimal stock levels to avoid shortages or overstocking.
- Coordinate with sales, production, and procurement teams for forecasting.
- Logistics & Transportation
- Ensure timely dispatches, route optimization, and vendor coordination.




- Monitor freight costs and negotiate with transport partners.
- Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor warehouse managers, supervisors, and logistics teams.
- Build strong performance‑driven culture across all DCs.
- Compliance & Quality
- Ensure compliance with FSSAI, food handling norms, and audit requirements.
- Implement SOPs for safety, hygiene, and operational excellence.
- Cost & Performance Management
- Monitor KPIs: OTIF, inventory accuracy, turnaround time, wastage control.
- Drive continuous improvement and cost‑saving initiatives.

3. Required Skills & Competencies

- Strong knowledge of WMS, ERP systems, and supply chain analytics.
- Proven ability to manage multi‑location DC operations.
- Deep understanding of FMCG / Food industry supply chain.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and cross‑functional coordination.
- Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage high‑volume operations.

4. Educational Qualification

- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management / Logistics / Operations
- MBA / PGDM in SCM or Operations preferred.

5. Work Conditions

- Based at central SCM office with regular travel to DCs.
- Requires flexibility for operational emergencies and audits.

Pay: ₹85,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
