Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Safety Officer with 5–6 years of experience in the building and construction industry. The candidate will be responsible for implementing and monitoring safety procedures at the project site and ensuring compliance with safety standards and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Implement and monitor site safety policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and identify potential safety hazards.
- Ensure proper use of PPE such as helmets, safety shoes, safety belts, gloves, and reflective jackets.
- Conduct safety toolbox talks, inductions, and awareness programs for workers and staff.
- Monitor work at height, scaffolding, excavation, lifting, electrical, and other high-risk activities.
- Ensure proper safety arrangements before starting construction activities.
- Prepare and maintain safety reports, inspection reports, checklists, and incident records.
- Investigate accidents, near-miss incidents, and unsafe conditions and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, Supervisors, and subcontractors regarding safety matters.




- Ensure compliance with applicable safety rules, regulations, and project requirements.
- Conduct emergency drills and ensure emergency preparedness at the site.
- Monitor housekeeping, access, barricading, signage, fire safety, and first-aid arrangements.
- Stop unsafe work when necessary and ensure corrective action is taken.

Required Qualifications & Skills

- Diploma / Degree / Certification in Industrial Safety / Construction Safety.
- 5–6 years of relevant experience in the building and construction industry.
- Good knowledge of construction site safety practices and statutory requirements.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage workers and subcontractors on site.
- Knowledge of PPE, work-at-height safety, scaffolding, excavation, lifting, and fire safety.
- Valuable reporting and documentation skills.

Preferred Candidate

- Candidates with experience in building construction / EPC projects will be preferred.
- Candidates currently available to join in Goa / Panaji will be preferred.
