- Key Responsibilities
- EHS Implementation & Compliance: Implement and enforce site-specific Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) plans in strict compliance with the Building and Other Construction Workers (BOCW) Act, Indian Factories Act, and relevant IS safety codes.
- Work-at-Height & Scaffolding Safety: Inspect and certify all staging, cup-lock/tube-and-coupler scaffolding, edge protections, safety nets, and personal fall arrest systems (PFAS/safety harnesses) prior to use on high-rise structures.
- Permit to Work (PTW) System: Manage and authorize daily Work Permits (PTW), including Hot Work, Work-at-Height, Deep Excavation/Shoring, Confined Space Entry, and Heavy Lifting operations.
- Heavy Equipment & Plant Inspection: Supervise safe operation and third-party inspection/certification (TPI) of heavy equipment, such as tower cranes, passenger hoists, concrete pumps, bar-bending machines, and transit mixers.
- Daily Site Hazard Identification & HIRA: Conduct routine safety walks, job hazard analyses (JHA/HIRA), and daily tool-box talks (TBT) to eliminate unsafe acts and unsafe conditions across labor gangs.
- Emergency Preparedness & Response: Formulate site evacuation plans, organize regular fire and medical emergency mock drills,



maintain fire-fighting equipment, and manage the site first-aid post.
- Incident Investigation & Root Cause Analysis: Investigate all near-misses, dangerous occurrences, minor injuries, and accidents; prepare detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports with Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
- Workforce Safety Inductions & Training: Deliver mandatory safety induction training to all current workers, sub-contractors, and site staff, emphasizing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) compliance and site safety rules.
- Documentation & Safety Audits: Maintain statutory safety records, induction registers, incident logs, PPE issue records, and daily/monthly safety reports (DSR/MSR) for client and third-party safety audits.

- Role Requirements
- Education: B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
- Mandatory Safety Certification: Recognized Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Safety (PGDIS/ADIS) from a state technical board (e.g., MSBTE / CLI / RLI), or NEBOSH IGC.
- Experience: 1-3 years of on-site safety execution in high-rise building construction, residential townships, or commercial RCC projects.
