: Research Trainee – Political Research & Ground Operations

Location: Mohali, Punjab (with extensive field travel across Punjab and regional project areas)

Position Overview:

We are looking for a highly motivated, curious, and resilient Research Trainee to join our Political Research Department. This is not a desk-only job. You will split your time between secondary qualitative research at our Mohali headquarters and intense, exciting field visits across Punjab to conduct ground research and campaign, focus groups, and voter sentiment analysis.

If you are passionate about understanding public sentiment, regional socio-economic dynamics, and how data translates into political narrative, this role is for you.

Candidate Profile & Qualifications

- Educational Background: Master's degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Economics,



Sociology, Journalism, or a related field.

- Language Proficiency: You must be able to understand Punjabi as you will be interacting directly with regional communities. Strong professional command of written English is required for internal reporting.

- Adaptability & Physical Fitness: You must be willing to travel frequently on short notice, walk extensive distances during rural field visits, and adapt to varying weather and logistical conditions.

- Political Neutrality: Ability to conduct research and report findings with absolute objectivity, keeping personal political opinions separate from professional deliverables.
