India

ArchitectsWhoCode is opening a part-time Research & Content Internship for someone interested in architecture, technology, AI, computation, BIM, urban data and digital experimentation.

ArchitectsWhoCode is an independent AEC-tech blog where I publish experiments, workflows, visual studies and articles around architecture and emerging technologies. You can have a look at the existing work here:

Website: https://architectswhocode.com/

This is not a conventional architectural design internship. The role involves researching ideas, trying different tools and methods, carrying out small experiments where required, and turning the work into clear and visually engaging content.

You do not need to know everything already. Curiosity, consistency and the ability to learn independently and adapt matter more.

Who can apply?

- B.Arch students — 4th year and above
- M.Arch students
- Recent B.Arch / M.Arch graduates
- Applicants from related fields such as urban design, planning, computational design, technology or data
- India-based applicants only

This is an independent, part-time internship and cannot be considered mandatory/full time architectural practical training.

What you may work with

Depending on the topic

- Grasshopper / Rhino
- Python / C#
- BIM / Revit / IFC
- AI / Machine Learning tools
- GIS / QGIS and urban data
- Computer vision / image analysis
- Data visualisation
- Figma / Canva / Adobe tools
- GIFs, diagrams, short videos and other relevant digital tools

There is no fixed software stack. You are welcome to explore suitable tools and suggest your own approach.

Previous coding experience is useful but not mandatory. If a task requires some scripting or an unfamiliar tool, you should be willing to learn it. Using AI tools,

documentation, tutorials and other learning resources to understand coding or new workflows is absolutely fine.

Expected Work

Target: approximately 8 blog posts per month — around 2 per week.

Work may include

- Research and reference collection
- Developing the approach for a topic
- Small experiments / proof-of-concepts where required
- Article drafts
- Diagrams, screenshots, GIFs and visualisations
- Revisions based on feedback
- Selected LinkedIn content
- Occasional updates to existing articles

Not every post will have the same complexity. Some may involve deeper research or experimentation, while others may be explainers, comparisons, case studies or workflow-based posts.

Internship Details

Mode: Remote / Work from Home

Time commitment: 12–15 hours/week

Schedule: Flexible, with agreed weekly deadlines/checkpoints

Duration: 4 months, including an initial 2-week paid assessment period

Stipend: ₹5,000–₹7,000/month

Expected output: Approximately 8 posts/month

You can organise when you work, but agreed deadlines and communication should be maintained.

The stipend within the range will depend on skills, portfolio, quality of work and ability to work independently.

The first two weeks will be used to assess research quality, reliability, communication, adaptability and response to feedback.

The assessment period will be paid on a pro-rata basis.

Equipment & Resources

This is a bring-your-own-device internship.

Applicants must arrange their own laptop/computer, reliable internet connection, required software/tools and general resources needed for their workflow.

ArchitectsWhoCode will not provide laptops, software licences, paid AI subscriptions or internet reimbursement.

Credit & Completion

Selected published work may receive author/contributor credit on ArchitectsWhoCode.

An Internship Certificate will be provided upon successful completion. A recommendation may also be provided based on performance and contribution.
