Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Cashier to join our team. The Cashier will be responsible for handling transactions accurately, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers warmly and provide prompt, courteous service
- Process sales transactions accurately using cash registers or POS systems
- Handle cash, credit, and digital payments securely
- Issue receipts, refunds, and exchanges in accordance with company policies
- Maintain an organized checkout area and ensure cleanliness
- Answer customer questions and resolve basic issues or direct them to the appropriate staff
- Balance cash drawers and report discrepancies
- Assist with stocking shelves or other duties as needed
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous cashier or retail experience preferred
- Strong numerical and basic computer skills
- Positive communication and interpersonal abilities
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling transactions
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
