Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate conventional lathe machines for turning, facing, boring, threading, and grooving operations
- Interpret engineering drawings and ensure accurate measurements
- Select and set cutting tools as per material and job requirement
- Maintain proper speeds and feeds for different materials (steel, alloy, etc.)
- Perform routine machine maintenance such as cleaning, lubrication, and minor troubleshooting
- Ensure quality of finished components using measuring instruments like vernier calipers, micrometers, and dial gauges
- Follow safety standards and maintain a clean working environment
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- ITI in Turner / Machinist or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in manufacturing or engineering industry
- Robust knowledge of lathe machine operations and precision machining
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Familiarity with cutting tools and machining parameters
- Basic knowledge of machine maintenance
