Key Responsibilities

A.

Blood Donor

Care &

- Blood Collection

- Receive and guide blood donors throughout the donation process.

- Verify donor identity and relevant records before blood collection.

- Assist in donor preparation, including vital signs and pre-donation requirements as per SOP.

- Perform/assist in venepuncture and blood collection as authorized and trained.

- Monitor the donor during and after blood donation.

- Identify and manage donor reactions as per SOP.

- Ensure proper post-donation care and provide instructions to donors.

- Maintain accurate donor and blood collection records.

B. Emergency &

- First Aid

- Provide immediate first aid to donors/patients in case of an emergency.

- Assist the Medical Officer during management of donor reactions and other emergencies.

- Maintain readiness of emergency equipment, medicines and supplies.

C.

Infection

Control &

- Safety

- Follow hand hygiene, PPE and infection-control practices.

- Maintain aseptic technique during blood collection and patient care.

- Properly segregate and dispose of biomedical waste as per applicable guidelines.

- Follow occupational health and safety requirements.

- Report needle-stick injuries, spills and other occupational incidents immediately.

D. Documentation &

- Quality Management

- Maintain donor-care and transfusion-related records accurately.

- Complete registers, checklists and forms as per Blood Centre SOPs.

- Participate in internal quality control, audits, inspections and corrective/preventive actions when required.





- Follow applicable NABH requirements, Blood Centre SOPs and regulatory guidelines.

- Maintain confidentiality of donor and patient information.

- Report any non-conformity, incident or adverse event to the concerned authority.

E. Inventory &

- Equipment

- Check availability of blood collection consumables, emergency medicines and PPE.

- Ensure proper storage and handling of consumables as per requirements.

- Report damaged, expired or insufficient stock to the Medical Officer In charge.

F.

Blood Donation

Camps

- Assist in planning and conducting outdoor blood donation camps.

- Prepare and arrange camp equipment, consumables and emergency supplies.

- Provide donor care and monitoring at the camp site.

- Maintain donor records and ensure proper handling of collected blood units Additional Responsibilities

- Maintain cleanliness and discipline in the donor and transfusion areas.

- Attend staff meetings, training sessions and competency assessments.

- Participate in continuing education and skill-development programs.

- Perform duties assigned by the Medical Officer related to Blood Centre activities.

- Follow shift duties and ensure proper handover to the next staff member.

Required Qualifications

- GNM / B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institution.

- Valid registration with the applicable Rajasthan Nursing Council.

Pay: ₹13,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
