Refrigeration Engineer – Reefer / Sea Container

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and hands-on Refrigeration Engineer to handle the repair, troubleshooting, servicing, and preventive maintenance of Reefer (Refrigerated Sea Container) Units.

The ideal candidate should have practical experience working with container refrigeration systems and should be comfortable diagnosing both refrigeration and electrical issues.

Key Responsibilities

Perform inspection, servicing, repair, and maintenance of Reefer/Sea Container Refrigeration Units.

Troubleshoot refrigeration system failures and identify the root cause of issues.

Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration-related faults.

Handle preventive and breakdown maintenance of reefer units.

Check compressors, condensers, evaporators, fans, sensors, controllers, and related components.

Conduct refrigerant charging, leak detection, pressure testing, and system checks as required.

Monitor temperature control and ensure proper functioning of refrigeration systems.

Use refrigeration and electrical testing equipment for fault diagnosis.

Maintain service and maintenance records for reefer units.

Coordinate with operations and maintenance teams for timely resolution of breakdowns.

Follow safety procedures and maintenance standards.





Required Skills & Qualifications

Diploma / ITI / Degree in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field.

Hands-on experience with Reefer Containers / Sea Container Refrigeration Units is highly preferred.

Solid knowledge of refrigeration systems and troubleshooting.

Good understanding of electrical circuits, controls, sensors, and controllers.

Experience in preventive and breakdown maintenance.

Ability to independently diagnose and resolve refrigeration faults.

Knowledge of compressors, condensers, evaporators, refrigerants, and refrigeration controls.

Good problem-solving and technical skills.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for someone who is technically strong, hands-on, and capable of independently troubleshooting refrigeration and electrical issues in reefer units.

Candidates with direct experience in Sea Container / Reefer Refrigeration will be given preference.
