A leading quantitative investment firm is looking for a senior alpha producer to join its India office as Co-Head of Quantitative Research .

This is a player-coach role for a proven quantitative researcher with a demonstrated ability to generate profitable, scalable equity & derivatives alpha and directly contribute to live trading P&L.;

The mandate is straightforward: increase alpha production while helping scale and elevate the India research platform.

What you'll do

- Co-lead the India Quant Research function alongside the current India Head of Research

• Remain hands-on in alpha generation — this is not a pure people-management role

- Independently originate, validate and deploy profitable systematic signals
- Generate differentiated, robust and scalable equity & derivatives alpha

• Contribute directly to live trading P&L;

- Drive rigorous research standards, reproducibility and structured research reviews
- Improve existing strategies through better modelling, data and signal construction
- Ensure strong out-of-sample validation and mitigate overfitting
- Shape research themes, priorities and the platform's research roadmap




- Mentor researchers and help build a high-quality research team without compromising the hiring bar or alpha quality.

What they're looking for

• 5+ years of systematic equity and derivatives alpha research experience

- BS/MS/PhD in a STEM discipline

• Proven track record of developing profitable, statistically robust signals

• Direct experience contributing to live trading P&L;

• $20M+ attributable P&L; generated through strategies you've developed

• Strong understanding of signal decay, capacity, risk controls and overfitting

- Strong programming and quantitative research infrastructure skills

• Someone who remains a researcher first , while being capable of taking on broader leadership responsibility
