ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES -

A. Incoming Quality Inspection

- Inspect incoming raw materials such as tinplate, aluminium sheets, inks, coatings, varnishes, solvents, chemicals and packing materials.
- Verify material specifications against purchase orders and approved specifications.
- Check material dimensions, thickness, surface condition, colour and other applicable parameters.
- Record inspection results and identify non-conforming materials.
- Coordinate with Stores, Purchase and Production for material rejection or disposition.

B. In-Process Quality Control
- Conduct quality inspections at different stages of metal printing and packaging production.
- Monitor printing, coating, curing, slitting, shearing, punching, forming, welding and packing processes.
- Check dimensions, shape, surface finish, colour, print quality and other customer-specific requirements.
- Perform first-piece / first-off inspection and approve production start-up where applicable.
- Monitor process parameters and ensure they are maintained within specified limits.
- Identify process deviations and coordinate corrective actions.

C. Printing & Coating Quality
- Inspect printed metal sheets for colour shade, registration, print clarity, smudging, scratches, pinholes and other defects.
- Verify artwork, print layout, batch details and customer-specific requirements.
- Check coating/varnish application, adhesion, curing and surface finish.
- Monitor ink and coating-related quality issues and coordinate with Production/Printing teams for correction.

D. Finished Product Inspection
- Inspect finished metal packaging products according to approved specifications and inspection plans.
- Check dimensions, appearance, functionality, print quality, coating and workmanship.
- Conduct sampling inspection as per approved sampling standards.
- Verify product quantity, identification, labelling and packing requirements.
- Release or hold finished goods based on inspection results.

E. Defect & Non-Conformance Control
- Identify, segregate and document defective/non-conforming products.
- Prepare Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) where required.
- Support root-cause analysis using appropriate problem-solving techniques.




- Follow up on corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Monitor recurring defects and recommend preventive measures.

F. Quality Documentation
- Maintain inspection reports, test records, rejection reports and quality check sheets.
- Maintain records of incoming, in-process and final inspection.
- Ensure proper traceability of raw materials and finished products.
- Maintain calibration records and inspection equipment records.
- Assist in preparation and maintenance of SOPs, work instructions and quality formats.

G. Customer Complaint Handling
- Support investigation of customer complaints related to quality.
- Analyze samples, production records and inspection reports.
- Assist in identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Prepare complaint investigation reports and monitor effectiveness of corrective actions.

H. Quality Systems & Compliance
- Follow company Quality Management System procedures and work instructions.
- Support implementation of ISO, BRCGS, customer-specific and other applicable quality requirements.
- Participate in internal and external audits.
- Ensure proper implementation of quality procedures on the shop floor.
- Promote quality awareness among production and packing employees.

I. Calibration & Measuring Instruments
- Ensure measuring instruments are available and in calibrated condition.
- Conduct routine verification of measuring equipment as applicable.
- Report damaged, expired or inaccurate instruments to the Quality Manager.
- Maintain calibration and verification records.

J. Coordination & Teamwork
- Coordinate with Production, Printing, Maintenance, Stores, Purchase and Dispatch departments regarding quality issues.
- Provide feedback to operators regarding defects and quality requirements.
- Support training and awareness programs related to quality.




- Participate in daily production/quality meetings and improvement activities.

1. Key Quality Parameters

The Quality Executive should have working knowledge of:
- Metal sheet thickness and dimensions
- Printing registration and colour shade
- Ink and coating quality
- Varnish/coating adhesion
- Surface defects
- Scratches, dents and pinholes
- Printing defects and smudging
- Cutting/slitting dimensions
- Forming and assembly defects
- Welding/seaming quality, where applicable
- Product dimensions and tolerances
- Packing and labelling requirements
- Product traceability
- Sampling inspection
- Customer specifications

1. Skills & Competencies

- Good knowledge of Quality Control and Quality Assurance practices.
- Knowledge of metal printing and packaging processes.
- Ability to use measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Thickness Gauge, Colour/Print inspection equipment, etc.
- Good knowledge of inspection methods and sampling procedures.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good documentation and report-writing skills.
- Ability to identify defects and take timely corrective action.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office/Excel.
- Ability to work in a production setting and in shifts when required.

1. Qualification & Experience

Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech. in Mechanical, Production, Metallurgy, Chemical, Printing Technology, Quality or related discipline. Experience: 2–5 years of relevant experience in Quality Control/Quality Assurance, preferably in metal packaging, metal printing, tin container, aluminium packaging or related manufacturing industries.

- Timely closure of NCR/CAPA.
- Accuracy and completeness of quality records.

- On-time completion of inspections and quality reports.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
