The University is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to support quality assurance and quality control activities across various campus development and infrastructure projects.

Job Summary The Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all construction, engineering, and infrastructure projects are executed in compliance with approved quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements. The role involves quality inspections, documentation, vendor quality management, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure project excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance & Quality Control

- Implement and monitor quality assurance and quality control processes for ongoing projects.
- Conduct regular inspections of construction and engineering works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and standards.
- Review material quality, workmanship, and project execution against established quality benchmarks.
- Prepare and maintain quality reports, inspection records, and project documentation.
- Ensure adherence to applicable safety, environmental, and quality regulations.

Project Quality Management

- Coordinate with project managers, architects, consultants, contractors, and vendors on quality-related matters.
- Identify non-conformities and initiate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Participate in project review meetings and provide quality performance updates.
- Support testing,



commissioning, and project handover activities.

Vendor & Material Quality Management

- Inspect incoming materials and verify compliance with technical specifications.
- Review material test certificates and quality documentation.
- Monitor contractor and vendor quality performance and recommend improvements.

Continuous Improvement

- Conduct root cause analysis for quality issues and implement corrective measures.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance project quality and efficiency.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of quality management systems and best practices.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Diploma in Civil Engineering
- Professional certifications in Quality Management, ISO 9001, Six Sigma, or Lead Auditor will be an added advantage.

Experience

- 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control within construction, infrastructure, engineering, or institutional development projects.
- Experience in campus, commercial, healthcare, educational, or large-scale infrastructure projects will be preferred.

Required Skills

- Robust knowledge of QA/QC processes, inspection methodologies, and quality standards.
- Familiarity with construction materials, testing procedures, and project quality documentation.
- Understanding of ISO standards and quality management systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and project documentation tools.
