About The Role To maintain a competitive advantage as we grow, we are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team at Geidea. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality, security, and reliability across our Payments Platform and financial transaction systems. You will own the end-to-end testing process, including mobile applications, backend microservices, APIs, and payment integrations, ensuring each transaction is secure, compliant, and accurate.

This position is ideal for a passionate professional with expertise in automation, distributed systems, and building robust payment solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement comprehensive testing strategies, automate testing processes, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our platform’s performance and security.

Qualifications

- Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in software quality assurance, preferably within the financial technology or payments industry.
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, MCA, E&C; Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in Java and experience with automated testing frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, JUnit, and Rest Assured.




- Hands-on experience testing Android applications and mobile automation.
- Deep understanding of EMV, NFC, Contactless Payments, and ISO 8583 standards.
- Experience with REST APIs, Postman, and API automation tools.
- Knowledge of code quality tools like Sonarqube and performance testing tools such as JMeter or Gatling.
- Familiarity with security testing tools like OWASP ZAP or Burp Suite, and payment security protocols including PCI DSS.
- Strong SQL skills, particularly with PostgreSQL, and experience validating financial transactions.
- Experience working with Kafka, microservices architecture, distributed systems, version control systems like Git, and CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools.

Responsibilities

- Design and implement comprehensive end-to-end test strategies for payment transaction workflows, including EMV, sales, authorizations, refunds, reversals, settlement, and reconciliation processes.
- Validate payment workflows across various components such as mobile applications, backend microservices, APIs, payment gateways, acquirers, processors, and banking systems to ensure seamless operation.
- Develop, build, and maintain automated test frameworks using Java, ensuring robust API, mobile, and backend testing coverage.
- Create and execute automated regression test suites,



integrating quality gates into CI/CD pipelines to facilitate continuous testing and deployment.
- Perform performance, load, and stress testing to evaluate system scalability, responsiveness, and stability under different conditions.
- Conduct security testing focusing on encryption, authentication mechanisms, and vulnerability assessments aligned with OWASP standards, supporting PCI DSS and EMV compliance requirements.
- Perform compatibility testing across multiple mobile devices and operating system versions to ensure a consistent user experience.
- Analyze production issues, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve critical transaction failures promptly and effectively.
