Role Description This is a full-time, Quality Engineer role based in Chakan.

The Quality

Engineer will support day-to-day quality activities, including inspection of incoming materials, in-process checks, and final product verification for pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, and fabricated assemblies. The role involves assisting in preparing and maintaining quality documentation, such as inspection reports, test certificates, and control plans, while ensuring adherence to relevant codes and standards.

The Quality

Engineer will collaborate with production, design, and supply chain teams to address non-conformities, support root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.



The position also includes participation in internal audits, support for customer inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen overall product quality and reliability.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Quality Engineering principles, including basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and engineering drawings.
- Skills in Quality Control, such as visual and dimensional inspection, use of measuring instruments, and documentation of inspection results.
- Understanding of Quality Assurance practices, including standards compliance, audit support, and process validation.
- Ability to monitor and improve Product Quality through defect analysis, corrective actions, and feedback to production teams.
- Awareness of Quality Management systems (e.g., ISO standards), procedures, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- 0–2 years of relevant experience in fabrication, heavy engineering, or process equipment manufacturing (internships or projects are acceptable).
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Basic knowledge of welding, materials, and pressure equipment codes (such as ASME or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ability to maintain clear, accurate technical documentation.
- Effective communication skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced shop-floor environment.
