Role & responsibilities
Conduct incoming, in-process and finished-product quality inspections for PVC and CPVC pipes.
Inspect critical parameters including outer diameter, wall thickness, length, weight, appearance and dimensional accuracy.
Monitor extrusion processes and identify deviations affecting product quality.
Conduct routine testing of PVC / CPVC pipes as per applicable specifications and standards.
Identify defects, non-conformities and process deviations and communicate them to the Production team.
Coordinate with Production and Machine Operators to resolve quality-related issues.
Ensure proper segregation and identification of rejected and non-conforming products.
Maintain inspection reports, test records, batch records and other quality documentation.
Monitor product quality during production and ensure adherence to approved specifications.
Assist in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for recurring quality issues.
Preferred candidate profile
Support investigation and resolution of customer complaints.
Ensure proper use and calibration of measuring and testing instruments.
Maintain proper batch traceability and quality records.
Ensure compliance with company quality procedures and applicable product standards.
Support initiatives to reduce rejection, wastage and customer complaints.
Maintain proper housekeeping and 5S standards in the QC area.
Work closely with Production and Maintenance teams to maintain consistent product quality.
Required Skills & Experience
1 TO 3 years of experience in Quality Control, preferably in PVC / CPVC pipe manufacturing.
Hands-on experience in PVC / CPVC pipe inspection and testing.
Good knowledge of extrusion-related quality issues and defects.
Knowledge of dimensional inspection and measuring instruments.
Ability to identify and troubleshoot basic process-related quality problems.
Valuable analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to maintain quality records and prepare inspection reports.
Good coordination and communication skills.
Willingness to work in shifts.
Educational Qualification
Preferred:
Diploma from CIPET (Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology).
Diploma in Plastics / Polymer / Mechanical Engineering.
Also considered:
Candidates with a relevant Quality Control / Quality Assurance qualification and practical experience in PVC / CPVC pipe manufacturing
Preferred Industry Experience
Candidates from the following industries will be preferred:

PVC / CPVC Quality Control
Relevant PVC / CPVC pipe manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.
