Role Overview

We are seeking a QA Assurance Engineer (SDET L1) with 1-2 years of experience to support the quality, reliability, and performance of Avèro's digital products and AI-enabled solutions. The successful candidate will work closely with engineers, product managers, consultants, and other cross-functional team members to validate requirements, identify defects, build and maintain automated tests, and help ensure high-quality software releases.

Core Roles & Responsibilities

- Understand product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria and translate them into effective test scenarios and test cases.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, and exploratory testing across web and/or mobile applications.
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for critical application workflows.
- Identify, document, track, retest, and verify software defects through resolution.
- Perform API testing and validate requests, responses, status codes, data, and application integrations.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA team members to identify quality risks early in the software development lifecycle.
- Participate in sprint planning, requirement discussions, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, and release activities.
- Maintain test cases, test data, automation suites,



and QA documentation to support repeatable testing and release readiness.
- Analyze test failures, troubleshoot issues, and provide transparent defect reports with reproducible steps and supporting evidence.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, automation coverage, and overall product quality.

Required Qualifications

- 1-2 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, Software Testing, Test Automation, or an SDET role.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum, and software testing methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with manual testing and exposure to test automation.
- Working knowledge of an automation tool or framework such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or Appium.
- Programming or scripting knowledge in Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or a similar language.
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or REST Assured and basic knowledge of SQL/database validation.
- Familiarity with defect tracking, test management, version control, and CI/CD tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Git, Jenkins, or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and attention-to-detail skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
