We are a software product company building scalable, cloud-based platforms involving web portals, mobile applications, backend services, databases, and hardware-integrated systems.

As a QA Automation Engineer, you will be part of the Quality Engineering team and will work closely with Developers, Product managers, and Support teams to ensure high-quality, reliable, and scalable product releases.

This role offers hands-on exposure to testing React-based web portals, Node.js backend services, PostgreSQL databases, Mobile applications (Android & iOS), APIs, and device-to-server integrations, following Agile and Continuous Delivery practices.

Roles and Responsibilities

Functional & Manual Testing

- Understand product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Design, write, review, and maintain test cases, test scenarios, and test data
- Perform manual testing of:
- Web applications (React JS based portals)
- Backend services (Node.js APIs)
- Mobile applications (Android & iOS)
- End-to-end system workflows involving devices, servers, and applications
- Execute functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing

Automation & Continuous Testing

- Automate repetitive and regression test cases as part of regular integrated releases
- Execute and maintain automated test suites for:
- UI testing
- API testing
- Analyze automation results and report failures with clear reproduction steps
- Collaborate with the team to improve test automation coverage and stability

Agile & Collaboration

- Work directly with Agile development teams on a daily basis
- Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and release discussions




- Facilitate quick identification and resolution of defects found during builds and deployments
- Participate in design and requirement reviews to provide early QA feedback

Quality Process & Improvement

- Contribute to defining and maintaining QA standards, procedures, and best practices
- Identify gaps in test coverage and suggest improvements
- Investigate and evaluate testing tools, frameworks, and processes to improve:
- Product reliability
- Release stability
- Testing efficiency
- Maintain proper test documentation and reports Defect Management
- Log defects with clear steps, screenshots/logs, and expected vs actual behavior
- Work closely with developers to help diagnose issues
- Re-test fixes and improve automated tests to prevent regressions
- Develop a strong mindset of breaking the product to make it bette

Must have skills

Testing Fundamentals

- Strong understanding of software testing concepts and SDLC/STLC
- Hands-on experience in manual testing
- Experience in creating test cases, test scenarios, and test data
- Understanding of functional, integration, system, and regression testing

Automation & Tools

- Basic to intermediate experience with:
- Playwright / Selenium
- Cucumber (or similar BDD frameworks)
- API testing using Postman or equivalent tools




- Understanding of test automation concepts and CI integration

Technical Knowledge

- Basic understanding of: Web applications and browser behavior, RESTful APIs, Node.js based backend services, React JS based frontends
- Basic knowledge of databases, preferably PostgreSQL
- Ability to write simple SQL queries for data validation Agile & Collaboration
- Experience working in or understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with developers, QA peers, and product teams

Nice to have skills

- Experience testing mobile applications on Android and iOS
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.)
- Knowledge of device or hardware-integrated systems
- Familiarity with logging, monitoring, and debugging tools
- Basic scripting knowledge (JavaScript, Python, or similar)
- Understanding of performance, security, or usability testing
- Prior experience working in a product-based company environment
