About The Role

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Piping Inspection Engineer to join our team at Aarvi Encon. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and inspecting piping fabrication, erection, installation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and safety regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of welding, material traceability, nondestructive testing (NDT), and quality assurance processes.

The Piping Inspection

Engineer will collaborate closely with clients, inspectors, construction teams, and subcontractors to facilitate smooth project execution and maintain the highest quality standards.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in piping inspection within the oil & gas, petrochemical, or power plant industries.
- Professional certification such as ASNT NDT Level II or III, CSWIP, or equivalent is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of piping codes and standards including ASME, API, ASTM, and client-specific specifications.
- Excellent understanding of welding procedures, material traceability, and quality documentation.




- Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in inspection tools, NDT techniques, and inspection software.

Responsibilities

- Inspect and monitor piping fabrication, erection, installation, and testing activities in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project standards.
- Review Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, QA/QC procedures, and inspection checklists to ensure comprehensive coverage of all activities.
- Conduct detailed inspections of fit-up, welding, alignment, supports, flange joints, valves, and piping components to verify quality and compliance.
- Verify that Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), and welder qualifications meet project requirements prior to welding activities.
- Coordinate Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) activities such as Radiographic Testing (RT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), and Penetrant Testing (PT), including review of test reports.
- Ensure proper material identification, traceability, and Mechanical Test Certificates (MTC) verification throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor hydrostatic and pneumatic testing, flushing, reinstatement, and pressure testing activities to confirm integrity and safety.
- Prepare, review, and maintain inspection reports, test records, Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs),



punch lists, and comprehensive quality documentation.
- Raise NCRs for non-compliance issues and follow up to ensure timely corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
- Coordinate with client/consultant inspectors, construction teams, engineering departments, and subcontractors to facilitate inspections and obtain necessary approvals.
- Ensure all piping works adhere to applicable standards such as ASME, API, ASTM, and comply with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.
- Support the preparation of final quality dossiers, as-built documentation, and project handover packages.
