QA DIRECTOR – SEAFOOD EXPORT BUSINESS

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on QA Director to lead Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Food Safety and Regulatory Compliance for an established seafood export business.

Industry: Seafood / Fisheries / Aquaculture / Exports

Experience: 12–15 years of relevant experience

Qualification: MFSc / BFSc or equivalent Fisheries/Seafood qualification

Location: Visakhapatnam

Travel: Extensive travel to processing plants, farms and suppliers

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead overall QA, QC and Food Safety functions across multiple locations.
- Drive production quality, process improvement and quality culture.
- Provide strong technical expertise in shrimp/prawn, fish and crab processing.
- Manage microbiological, antibiotic and residue-control programs.
- Ensure compliance with FDA, EU, Canada, Russia/EAEU, Singapore and GCC/Gulf requirements.
- Manage suppliers, processing units, farms, feed mills and hatcheries from a quality perspective.
- Lead HACCP, GMP, GHP, certifications, inspections and customer/regulatory audits.
- Identify quality and production gaps, conduct root-cause analysis and CAPA, and ensure sustainable closure.
- Provide effective management reporting and cross-functional coordination.

IDEAL CANDIDATE The ideal candidate will have:





- 12–15 years of strong hands-on seafood QA/QC experience.
- MFSc, BFSc or equivalent qualification.
- Proven expertise in shrimp, fish and crab processing.
- Strong knowledge of seafood food safety, microbiology and residue/antibiotic control.
- Experience handling multiple processing units and supplier networks.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, GHP and international export regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving, RCA, CAPA, leadership and people-management skills.
- Ability to work closely with Management, Production and Suppliers.
- Willingness to travel extensively.

We need a hands-on seafood quality leader who can:

- Understand the process → Identify the gap → Find the root cause → Implement the solution → Monitor results → Ensure permanent closure.
