Content and Proposal Writing

About the Role:

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Content Writer to join our team. This role requires a person who is passionate about storytelling, has excellent writing skills, and understands SEO best practices.

The Content

Writer will be responsible for producing high-quality content that promotes our products and services, while also engaging our target audience. The ideal candidate should be adept at researching industry-related topics, collaborating with different teams, and continuously improving the content to meet customer needs and business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Content Creation & Strategy

● Research industry-related topics (combining online sources, interviews, and studies).

● Write clear marketing copy to promote our products/services.

● Coordinate with marketing and design teams to illustrate articles.

● Conduct simple keyword research and use SEO guidelines to increase web traffic.

● Identify customers' needs and gaps in our content and recommend new topics.

● Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images, and tone).

● Update website content as needed.

Collaboration & Teamwork

● Communicate and cooperate with a writing team, including content managers, editors, and web publishers.

● Follow an editorial calendar, collaborating with other members of the content production team to ensure timely delivery of materials.

● Develop related content for multiple platforms, such as websites, email marketing, product descriptions, videos, and blogs.

SEO & Performance Monitoring

● Use search engine optimization (SEO) strategies in writing to maximize the online visibility of a website in search results.

● Monitor and analyze the performance of key performance indicators (KPIs) to offer suggestions for improvement.

Project-Specific Content & Reporting

● Write-ups may include annual reports, proposal writing, and other content as required, compounded with project proposals.

Storytelling & Advocacy





● Gather content to write human interest stories and other advocacy/information materials in all media formats for blogs and newsletters.

● Oversee and coordinate translation of communications for field training.

● Support the sourcing of assistance and resources such as local expertise, networking, field-level staff, strategy of communication & project penetration at the local level, and other services as required.

Proofreading & Quality Assurance

● Proofread the reports submitted by project heads and ensure that the content is of the highest quality.

Qualifications & Experience:

● Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.

● Minimum 3-5 years of experience in content writing, copywriting, or a similar role.

● Proven ability to write explicit, engaging, and persuasive content.

● Familiarity with SEO best practices and keyword research.

● Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.

● Experience in developing content for various platforms (websites, blogs, email marketing, etc.).

● Strong communication and collaboration skills.
