Company Description Cellumantra Biorefinery Pvt. Ltd. is a DPIIT-recognized green biotechnology startup developing an enzymatic biorefinery platform that converts non-wood agricultural waste into industrial enzymes and advanced biomaterials. The company focuses on revenue-first enzyme production for sectors such as textiles and wastewater treatment, followed by high-margin cellulose nanofibers (CNF) for sustainable, high-performance materials.

Its technology is optimized for Indian biomass, enabling cost-efficient, scalable, and circular manufacturing. By valorizing farm residues, Cellumantra helps reduce crop-burning, lower import dependency, and support climate-resilient industrial growth. The team combines biotechnology, engineering, and business expertise to build commercially viable, impact-focused solutions.

Role Description This is a full-time, remote role for Project Finance Consultants / Bank Guarantee Issue With Discounting – Monetizing Experts as Co-Founders. The role involves designing and executing project finance strategies for biorefinery assets, including structuring debt, equity, and hybrid instruments aligned with startup and scale-up requirements. The co-founder will source, evaluate, and manage relationships with banks, financial institutions, family offices, and impact investors, with a specific focus on bank guarantee discounting, monetization, and innovative funding structures.

Day-to-day responsibilities include building project finance models, assessing risk-return profiles, preparing investment memos and pitch materials, and supporting negotiations for term sheets and financial closures. The role also includes collaboration with the core team on capital allocation decisions, cash flow planning,



and long-term financing roadmaps to support enzyme and CNF production expansion, while ensuring regulatory and compliance standards are met.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Finance, Financial Planning, and Investments skills, with demonstrated experience in project finance, structured finance, or infrastructure/industrial financing.
- Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills, including financial modeling, scenario analysis, and risk assessment for long-tenor and asset-backed transactions.
- Candidates should possess expertise in Retirement Planning and long-term capital planning, or equivalent experience in designing lifecycle funding strategies for projects and businesses.
- Experience with bank guarantee discounting, monetization of financial instruments, and working with banks/NBFCs/DFIs on complex funding structures is highly beneficial.
- Robust knowledge of capital markets, term loans, project reports, and due diligence requirements for early-stage and growth-stage companies.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present complex financial concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Prior exposure to climate tech, bioeconomy, renewable energy, or industrial manufacturing projects is an advantage.
