Program Coordinator – Counselling

Experience: Relevant experience in legal coordination/advocacy, preferably in Gender-Based Violence (GBV)

Qualification: Degree in Law; Postgraduate degree in Law will be an advantage.

About the Program

SNEHA's Prevention of Violence against Women and Children Program works towards primary prevention of violence, strengthening survivors' access to protection and justice, empowering women to claim their rights, and mobilizing communities towards zero tolerance for violence.

The program also works closely with government and public systems to strengthen responses to violence against women and children and ensure access to essential social, civil and economic support.

About the Role The Program Coordinator – Counselling will coordinate and oversee the legal components of SNEHA's GBV program across Dharavi, Kurla and Govandi.

The role involves coordinating legal support for survivors of GBV, managing legal aid clinics, supporting Para-Legal Volunteers (PLVs), strengthening case management,



and working closely with government and legal stakeholders.

Role & Responsibilities

- Coordinate legal support and guidance for GBV survivors.
- Manage legal aid clinics and coordinate with DLSA, police, Protection Officers, public prosecutors and DWCD.
- Support and monitor Para-Legal Volunteers (PLVs), including training and capacity building.
- Coordinate legal support for GBV, POCSO, sexual assault and PWDVA cases.
- Conduct legal awareness sessions and community mobilisation activities.
- Supervise and mentor the program team.
- Manage program planning, reporting, documentation and budgets.
- Build and maintain relationships with government, legal and community stakeholders.
- Represent SNEHA in relevant legal advocacy forums.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
