Do you want to build the precision machinery behind India's largest and fastest-growing wearable tech brand? Join Ultrahuman as an Equipment & Tooling Engineer and pioneer non-standard manufacturing processes as we scale mass production globally.
ABOUT ULTRAHUMAN
Ultrahuman is one of the world's leading smart-ring and health-wearable companies an Indian-built global premium brand, headquartered in Bangalore and sold in 100+ countries. We make the Ultrahuman Ring AIR (among the world's lightest smart rings — sleep, HRV, recovery and metabolic tracking, no subscription), the M1 continuous glucose platform, Ultrahuman Home, and Blood Vision — one connected health platform across wearables, glucose, home and blood.
Role Name: Mechanical Engineer (Production)

Role Description The Hardware division at Ultrahuman has launched four award-winning devices — Ultrahuman Ring, Ring Air, Ring Pro, and Ultrahuman Home. As we scale, we need someone to build the jigs, fixtures, and automation that make precision assembly repeatable at volume. If you like designing the machines that build the product, this is for you.
Work and Responsibilities
- Design and develop jigs, fixtures, test rigs, and semi-automated assembly stations for high-precision wearable assembly.
- Build poka-yoke into tooling: locating and clamping schemes, tolerance stack-ups,
and repeatability studies to hold process capability.
- Integrate pneumatics, actuators, linear motion, and sensors; work with electronics and firmware engineers on station control and data logging.
- Improve cycle time, yield, and operator ergonomics across manual and automated lines; run root-cause analysis on tooling-driven defects.
- Prepare manufacturing drawings, GD&T;, BOMs, assembly and station SOPs.
- Own tooling from concept to production: source and evaluate toolroom and automation vendors, drive follow-ups, validate and buy off parts on the floor.
Primary Skills
- BE in Mechanical with experience in jig and fixture design, special-purpose machines, or production automation.
- Robust fundamentals in fixture design principles , mechanism design, and tolerance stack-up analysis.
- Well versed with engineering drawing conventions, drawing symbols, tolerances, drafting/detailing, GD&T;, assembly drawings, BOM, DFM/DFA.
- Good experience with SolidWorks and Autodesk Fusion 360.
- Working knowledge of pneumatics, actuators, sensors.
- Experience finding, evaluating, and managing vendors and toolrooms through to delivered, validated parts.
- Evaluating and fine-tuning processes to optimise yield and cycle time.
- Curiosity to learn, develop, and implement non-standard processes as part of R&D; and bring them into production.
