About the Role

MB Exports Limited is looking for a Production Engineer to manage and improve day-to-day manufacturing activities at its production unit. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth shop-floor operations, achieving production targets, improving productivity, controlling rejection and wastage, and maintaining quality and safety standards.

The ideal candidate should have practical experience in a manufacturing/engineering production environment and be comfortable working closely with operators, supervisors, maintenance, quality, stores, and production planning teams.

Key Responsibilities Production & Shop-Floor Management

- Plan, monitor, and control daily production activities as per production schedules.
- Ensure timely achievement of daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
- Supervise shop-floor activities and ensure smooth production flow.
- Monitor manpower, machines, materials, and production output.
- Identify production bottlenecks and take corrective action to minimize delays.
- Ensure optimum utilization of machines, manpower, raw materials, and other resources.
- Coordinate with Production Planning/PPC for production priorities and order requirements.

Manufacturing Process
- Monitor manufacturing processes related to fabrication, machining, assembly, pumps, couplings, hydraulic equipment, agricultural/construction equipment, and related engineering products, as applicable to the assigned section.
- Ensure production is carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, process sheets, and work instructions.
- Monitor machine performance and coordinate with maintenance to reduce machine breakdowns and downtime.
- Ensure proper material movement and availability at different stages of production.
- Identify opportunities for improving cycle time, productivity, and process efficiency.

Quality & Process Improvement




- Work closely with the Quality Department to maintain required product quality.
- Monitor rejection, rework, scrap, and process losses.
- Conduct basic root-cause analysis for recurring production and quality problems.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions on the shop floor.
- Reduce material wastage and improve yield.
- Support 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous-improvement initiatives.
- Develop and maintain production-related reports and process records.

Manpower & Team Coordination
- Allocate manpower according to production requirements.
- Monitor operator productivity and work discipline.
- Provide process guidance to operators and production workers.
- Coordinate with supervisors and workers to resolve day-to-day production issues.
- Ensure operators follow standard operating procedures and safety practices.

Safety & Housekeeping
- Ensure compliance with company safety procedures on the shop floor.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and workplace organization.
- Ensure safe operation of machines and equipment.
- Immediately report unsafe conditions, accidents, or major production issues to the concerned manager.

Required Qualification
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing/engineering production environment.
- Candidates with hands-on shop-floor experience will be preferred.

Candidate Requirements Mandatory




- Candidate must currently reside in Punjab.
- Preference should be given to candidates who are willing to work at/commute to the MB Exports manufacturing unit in Punjab.
- Must have practical exposure to manufacturing/production operations.
- Must be willing to work primarily on the shop floor.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, production processes, and basic quality practices.

- Casting

Technical Skills
- Production planning and shop-floor control
- Manufacturing process knowledge
- Basic knowledge of CNC/VMC/machining, fabrication, welding, casting, and assembly processes
- Reading and understanding engineering drawings
- Knowledge of measuring instruments and basic inspection methods
- Production efficiency and productivity monitoring
- Rejection and wastage control
- Root Cause Analysis
- 5S / Kaizen / Lean Manufacturing
- MS Excel and production reporting
- ERP/MRP knowledge will be an advantage

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹38,000.00 per month
