Hiring: Production Chemist
Role Overview
We are looking for a Production Chemist / Analytical Chemist to manage and execute day-to-day chemical operations, batching, analytical testing, quality checks, and related documentation. The role requires strong attention to detail, process discipline, and hands-on experience with laboratory and production processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle batching and formulation activities as per approved formulations and process specifications.
- Conduct analytical testing and quality checks of raw materials, in-process batches, and finished products.
- Perform routine laboratory analysis and ensure results meet defined specifications.
- Monitor batch parameters and identify deviations during production.
- Maintain accurate batch records, analytical reports, test reports, and production documentation.
- Prepare and maintain COA, batch sheets, test reports, logbooks, and other quality-related records.
- Coordinate with production and quality teams for batch release and corrective actions.
- Ensure proper sampling, labelling, storage, and traceability of materials and samples.
- Investigate basic quality/process deviations and assist in implementing corrective measures.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, testing instruments, chemicals, and related records.
- Follow SOPs, safety protocols, hygiene standards,
and defined quality procedures.
- Support recent product trials, formulation trials, scale-up batches, and process improvements when required.
- Maintain proper inventory and usage records for laboratory chemicals and materials.
- Perform any other production, analytical, or documentation-related activities required for smooth operations.
Requirements
- B.Sc./M.Sc. in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, or a related field.
- 14 years of relevant experience in production, analytical chemistry, QC, formulation, or FMCG/cosmetics manufacturing.
- Hands-on understanding of batching, sampling, analytical testing, and documentation.
- Good knowledge of laboratory practices, SOPs, and quality control procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording test results and batch information.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Comfortable working in a hands-on production and laboratory environment.
- Knowledge of basic analytical instruments and testing methods will be preferred.
