Role: Product Designer / Manager

As a Product Designer / Manager, you will independently lead the development, structuring, and implementation of the company’s furniture and interior product portfolio. This role focuses on product strategy, standardization, catalogue development, and production alignment, ensuring that all products are well-designed, scalable, and production-ready. You will work closely with factories, vendors, and internal stakeholders, while owning the product function end-to-end.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Product Development
- Lead new product development across built-in furniture and loose furniture categories.
- Define and create product categories with clear design intent, use cases, and technical direction.
- Research materials, finishes, construction methods, and global furniture trends to drive product innovation.Design products with a strong balance of aesthetics, functionality, durability, and manufacturability.
- Oversee product prototyping, testing, iteration, and finalization before implementation.
2. Catalogue Development
- Own the development and maintenance of the product catalogue across built-in and loose furniture systems.
- Define catalogue structure, product classification, and naming conventions.
- Coordinate creation of product drawings, specifications, descriptions, material details, and reference imagery.
- Ensure catalogue accuracy, relevance, and consistency across all products.Regularly update the catalogue with new products, revisions, and discontinued items.

Standards & Systems
- Develop and maintain standards and guidelines for built-in furniture and loose furniture systems.
- Drive standardization of materials, finishes, and hardware, ensuring quality consistency and ease of production.
- Establish modular systems and repeatable details that allow controlled customization.
- Document technical standards, detailing principles, and performance benchmarks.
4. Production & Implementation
- Work closely with factory teams and vendors to ensure products are production-ready and feasible.
- Validate drawings, prototypes, and samples for quality, finish, and constructability.
- Support implementation by addressing production challenges and refining systems where required.
- Continuously improve products based on production feedback, cost efficiency, and performance outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field; additional qualifications in product or production management are a plus.
- 8+ years of experience in furniture design, product design, or product management within the interior design or furniture industry.
- Hands-on experience with wall panelling systems, custom furniture, and built-in furniture solutions.
- Strong production knowledge, including materials, hardware, joinery, finishes, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience working directly with factories, workshops, and vendors.
- Ability to independently own products from concept through production.
- Strong attention to detail with a balanced understanding of design quality and execution constraints.
- Proactive problem-solver with a long-term product mindset.
Pay: ₹900,000.00 - ₹1,400,000.00 per year
