Job Title: Principal/Senior Electrica Engineer

Location: Hyderabad (Gachibowli)

Job Summary:

- Manage the design team and responsible for Quality of deliverables, Schedule and Budget and taking ownership
- Understand the scope of work and develop Manhour Estimates, Electrical System Design and deliverables, provide Procurement & Construction Support
- Experience in Design of Industrial Projects in Engineering / Consultancy / Design Organization

Responsibilities:

- Familiar with international codes such as IEC, IEEE, BS, NEC, NFPA
- Prepare, review and check all electrical engineering deliverables such as Power system studies, Calculations, Specifications, Data Sheets, Drawings and other documents.
- Conduct review of the deliverables prepared by the team before issuing to ensure meeting Quality standards of the Company & Clients
- Review and understand the RFP and provide proposal support in preparing man-hour estimates, scope of works, exclusions etc
- Assist to Improve on Discipline standards & Tools
- Interact with Design Engineers / Designers to ensure that the necessary engineering documents are developed and meets the project requirement as per the project time lines
- Execute projects / tasks independently
- Perform Inter-Discipline coordination - Coordinate with Design Managers and Department Manager to resolve any inter disciplinary issues
- Guide & Mentor Junior engineers & Designers to deliver the task
- Updating & reporting project design progress at agreed intervals
- Interact with other Host office counterparts and participate in technical meetings
- Responsible for completing project on time with expected quality
- Responsible to meet KPIs (Ontime Delivery, First Time Acceptance, Effort Variance, Rework, Customer Feedback Index)

- Comply with the Company’s Quality Assurance procedures and assist Department Manager in review of standards and department procedures to promote a continual improvement
- To promote safe working practices and to protect the health and wellbeing of Employees, subcontractors and customers.
- Contribute to the development of effective working relationships are established and maintained with clients and internal colleagues.
- Ensuring that confidentiality is observed and maintained when dealing with private/confidential correspondence, reports, statements, records, other documents and information.

- Comply with the Company’s Quality Assurance procedures and assist in the review of standards and procedures from time to time to promote a continual improvement process

Core Competencies

- Knowledge in Power System Studies Software (ETAP or equivalent) and analysis
- Technical knowledge and understanding of Engineering Design for High Voltage and Low Voltage Electrical systems from Basic Design
- Technical knowledge and understanding of project execution processes
- Extensive knowledge of local code of practice for design implementation
- Thorough knowledge on various electrical system equipment
- Project planning and execution
- Ability to make technical decision to ensure teams consistently deliver good design, quality of work, realization of scope, meeting the schedule
- Construction experience or knowledge is an added advantage
- Proactive approach, ability to work to deadlines, under pressure and on own initiative.
- Possess good written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate well at all levels
- Guide the career development of technical staff and design professionals
