Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Precast Detailer / Draftsman responsible for creating precise technical drawings, shop drawings and erection drawings for precast concrete components.

The candidate should have robust knowledge of precast detailing, reinforcement, moulds, embedment’s and erection requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Shop Drawings: Create detailed drawings for manufacturing individual precast pieces, showing exact dimensions, geometry and specifications.
- Reinforcement Detailing: Prepare rebar layouts, mesh details and bar bending schedules for precast concrete elements.
- Mould and Production Plans: Design casting forms/moulds used in the factory and assist in planning the production sequence.
- Erection Drawings: Prepare drawings showing how and where each precast piece fits and is installed at the construction site.
- Embedment Layouts: Accurately mark locations for hardware, anchor plates, lifting inserts, utility conduits and other embedded items.

Other Responsibilities

- Cost Estimation: Calculate material, manufacturing,



transportation and installation costs for precast elements.
- Quantity Take-Offs: Take accurate measurements from structural drawings and prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
- Coordinate with design, production and site/erection teams to ensure drawings are accurate and practical for manufacturing and installation.
- Review drawings and ensure detailing is aligned with project requirements and applicable standards.

Required Skills & Software

- Software: Proficiency/Mastery in AutoCAD, Revit and/or Tekla Structures.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of RCC structures, building codes, precast codes and precast construction methods.
- Ability to interpret structural drawings and engineering specifications.
- Strong understanding of reinforcement detailing, precast connections, embedment’s and erection requirements.

Educational Qualification

- Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering / Structural Engineering.
- Hands-on experience in precast detailing/drafting is preferred.

Compensation ₹40,000 – ₹50,000 per month, based on relevant experience, software proficiency and technical competency.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
