Job Summary The Pre-Primary Teacher will be responsible for creating a safe, joyful, and stimulating learning environment for young children. The teacher will plan and deliver age-appropriate learning experiences, support children's overall development, maintain effective communication with parents, and contribute to the academic and co-curricular activities of the school.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct engaging, age-appropriate lessons and activities for preschool children.
- Implement the school's curriculum using play-based, activity-based, and experiential learning methods.
- Create a warm, safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment.
- Support children's cognitive, language, physical, social, emotional, and creative development.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, teaching aids, classroom displays, and learning resources.
- Use stories, rhymes, music, art, craft, games, role play, and hands-on activities to make learning enjoyable.
- Observe and monitor each child's progress and developmental needs.
- Maintain student records, portfolios, assessments, and other academic documentation.
- Provide individual attention and appropriate support to children who require additional guidance.
- Encourage good habits, independence, confidence, communication, and positive social behaviour.
- Maintain classroom discipline through positive and child-friendly approaches.
- Communicate regularly and professionally with parents regarding children's progress, behaviour, and development.
- Participate actively in school events, celebrations, assemblies, field trips, workshops, and co-curricular activities.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and the Academic In-Charge to ensure effective curriculum implementation.
- Follow all school policies related to child safety, hygiene, health, discipline, and safeguarding.
- Maintain a clean, organized, attractive, and child-friendly classroom.
- Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional-development programs.
- Perform other academic and school-related responsibilities as assigned by the Academic In-Charge or School Head.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience
- Graduate degree in any relevant discipline.
- NTT, ECCE, Montessori, D.Ed., B.Ed., or equivalent qualification preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in preschool/pre-primary teaching preferred.
- Freshers with relevant qualifications and a genuine interest in early childhood education may also be considered.
