Job Title: PLC & SCADA Networking Engineer

Role Overview: Responsible for the design, configuration, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of PLC, SCADA, and industrial communication networks used in automation and control systems.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and configure PLC, SCADA, HMI, and industrial Ethernet networks.
- Configure and troubleshoot industrial communication protocols such as Modbus TCP/IP, Modbus RTU, Profinet, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, OPC/OPC UA, etc.
- PLC programming, modification, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
- SCADA development, configuration, alarm management, data logging, and system integration.
- Configure and manage managed/unmanaged industrial Ethernet switches, routers, and network components.
- Establish communication between PLCs, SCADA servers, HMIs, remote I/O, VFDs, protection systems, and other field devices.
- Troubleshoot network issues related to IP addressing, VLANs, subnetting, routing, communication failures, and redundancy.
- Perform system commissioning, testing, FAT/SAT, and site troubleshooting.
- Prepare and maintain network architecture, I/O lists, communication drawings, PLC/SCADA backups, and configuration documents.
- Coordinate with electrical, instrumentation, and project teams for system integration.
- Provide site support during installation, commissioning,



and customer demonstrations.
- Ensure system reliability, cybersecurity, backups, and controlled access to automation systems.

Technical Skills:

- PLC: Siemens / Allen-Bradley / Schneider / Mitsubishi or equivalent.
- SCADA: WinCC / Wonderware / Ignition / AVEVA or equivalent.
- Industrial Ethernet and managed switches.
- TCP/IP, UDP, DHCP, DNS, VLAN, subnetting and basic routing.
- OPC/OPC UA and industrial communication protocols.
- Remote I/O and PLC-to-PLC communication.
- Basic knowledge of industrial cybersecurity and network segmentation.
- Familiarity with Windows Server, virtualization, and database connectivity is an advantage.

Qualification & Experience:

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Automation, or related discipline.
- 3–5 years of experience in PLC, SCADA, industrial automation, and networking.
- Experience in industrial/site commissioning and troubleshooting preferred.
- Ability to read electrical/control schematics and network architecture drawings.
- Willingness to travel to customer/project sites as required.
