Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Factory Manager to oversee the complete operations of our manufacturing plant at Kaman. The candidate will be responsible for Production, Quality, Maintenance, Stores, HR/Manpower, Cost Control, Productivity, and overall plant efficiency .

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in plant management, TPM, continuous improvement, cost optimization, and EBITDA management , along with the ability to lead multiple departments and take complete accountability for plant performance.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the overall functioning of the manufacturing plant, including Production, Quality, Maintenance, Stores, HR and Labour .
- Plan and monitor production activities to achieve production targets and ensure optimum utilization of resources.
- Develop, implement, and monitor SOPs and standard processes across manufacturing functions.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, ISO procedures, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Take overall responsibility for Quality Control and ensure products meet required quality standards.
- Drive TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) initiatives to improve machine availability, reliability, and overall equipment effectiveness.
- Coordinate with the Maintenance team for preventive and predictive maintenance of machinery.
- Monitor OEE, machine downtime, breakdowns,



and maintenance performance .
- Identify opportunities for productivity improvement, waste reduction, cost optimization, and process improvement .
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and Six Sigma , wherever applicable.
- Manage manpower requirements, attendance, discipline, productivity, and workforce-related issues.
- Handle labour-related matters and maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Resolve inter-departmental conflicts and ensure smooth coordination between departments.
- Monitor plant performance through KPIs, MIS, production reports, and operational reviews .
- Ensure effective control of manufacturing costs, overheads, material consumption, and operational expenses .
- Take accountability for the plant's EBITDA performance and work towards improving profitability.
- Prepare and monitor the plant's operating budget and identify opportunities to improve margins.
- Monitor production, quality, delivery, inventory, manpower, maintenance, and cost-related KPIs.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.




- Identify operational risks and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinate with senior management and provide regular updates on plant performance, production, quality, manpower, maintenance, costs, and EBITDA .
- Lead, motivate, and develop the plant team to achieve production, quality, delivery, productivity, and profitability targets .
- Take complete accountability for the overall performance and operational efficiency of the plant .

Candidate Requirements

- Education: BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or relevant engineering discipline.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in manufacturing/plant operations, including significant managerial experience.
- Strong experience in plant management, production, quality, maintenance, and manpower management .
- Hands-on knowledge of TPM, OEE, preventive maintenance, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and continuous improvement .
- Good understanding of SOPs, ISO, Quality Management Systems, and safety practices .
- Strong knowledge of cost control, budgeting, productivity improvement, and manufacturing efficiency .
- Experience in monitoring and improving plant profitability and EBITDA .
- Strong experience in labour management and conflict resolution .
- Excellent leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple departments and take independent decisions.
- Robust communication, coordination, and team-management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver production and business targets.
