Job Overview

Aesthevity & Co. is looking for a dedicated, disciplined, and organized Operation Theatre (OT) Assistant to join our surgical team. You will be responsible for preparing the operating room, handling surgical instruments, maintaining strict sterilization protocols, and providing critical support to our consulting plastic surgeons and nursing staff before, during, and after surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities

- OT Preparation & Setup: Prepare the operating room with necessary surgical instruments, equipment, sterile drapes, and medical consumables required for specific aesthetic and surgical procedures.
- Sterilization & Infection Control: Ensure the highest standards of hygiene by washing, sterilizing, and autoclaving surgical instruments and equipment according to clinical protocols.
- Intra-operative Assistance: Pass instruments, sponges, and materials to the surgical team during procedures, responding quickly and calmly to the surgeon's requirements.
- Patient Handling: Assist in safely transferring, positioning, and preparing patients on the operating table while ensuring comfort and privacy.
- Inventory & Maintenance: Monitor OT inventory levels,



report low stock of surgical supplies, and ensure all surgical machinery and lights are clean and functioning optimally.
- Waste Management: Strictly follow biomedical waste disposal guidelines to safely clear out used materials from the theatre post-surgery.

Required Qualifications & Skills

- Education: Diploma or Certificate in Operation Theatre Technology (DOTT / COTT) or a B.Sc. in OT Technology from a recognized institute.
- Experience: 1–3 years of experience as an OT Assistant or Technician (Experience assisting in plastic surgery, general surgery, or dermatology procedures is highly preferred).
- Skills: Excellent technical understanding of sterile techniques, surgical instrumentation, and autoclave operations.
- Attributes: High attention to detail, ability to work well under pressure, and a solid sense of teamwork.
