Role Overview

We're looking for an Opto-Electronics Intern who loves the point where optics, electronics,

and code all have to agree with each other. You'll get hands-on with the signal chain work that takes light-derived electrical signals and turns them into usable, interpretable data —

from photodetector output to digitized, processed information.

This role sits at the intersection of embedded systems, signal processing, and photonics.

You'll work closely with optics, electrical, and firmware engineers, learning how raw optical signals get turned into data our systems can actually act on.

What You'll Work On

● Support data acquisition setup, from photodetector output to digitized signal





● Assist with basic signal processing scripts in Python for test data analysis● Help with embedded or DAQ interfacing tasks under guidance

● Support test automation for repeatable bench characterization

● Document setup and results

What We're Looking For

Required

● Pursuing a degree in Electronics Engineering, Photonics, or Applied Physics

● Working knowledge of Python for basic data analysis

● Comfortable with hands-on lab and bench-test work

Nice to Have

● Exposure to DAQ systems, embedded C/C++, or FPGA basics

● Coursework or project exposure to basic DSP concepts (sampling, filtering, FFTs)
