About the Role
We are looking for a highly organised, detail-oriented and experienced Inventory Manager to manage inventory operations across our designer retail stores specialising in sarees, bridal outfits, designer lehengas, ethnic wear and occasion wear.
The Inventory Manager will be responsible for maintaining accurate stock records, monitoring stock movement, managing inventory ageing, coordinating replenishment and transfers, conducting physical audits, and ensuring that high-value designer and bridal inventory is properly tracked and controlled.
The ideal candidate should have solid knowledge of retail inventory processes, excellent analytical skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with store teams, warehouse teams, sales teams, designers, production/tailoring teams and accounts.
Key Responsibilities1. Inventory Management
- Manage end-to-end inventory for sarees, lehengas, bridal outfits, gowns, suits, accessories and other designer products.
- Maintain accurate records of all inward, outward, transfer, return and adjustment transactions.
- Monitor inventory by design, collection, category, colour, size, fabric, price and SKU/style code.
- Ensure every product is properly tagged, coded and recorded in the ERP system.
- Monitor high-value and premium inventory with appropriate controls.
- Track samples, display pieces, alteration pieces and customer-reserved merchandise separately.
1. Stock Inward & Outward
- Verify incoming stock against purchase orders, invoices, delivery challans and product details.
- Coordinate with designers, production teams and vendors for accurate stock receipts.
- Ensure proper documentation of stock issued to customers, sales teams, designers, alteration/tailoring teams and other departments.
- Monitor dispatches for bridal and customised orders.
- Ensure timely updating of all stock movements in the ERP.
1. Stock Audits & Inventory Accuracy
- Conduct regular physical stock audits and cycle counts across stores and warehouses.
- Reconcile physical stock with ERP records and identify discrepancies.
- Investigate shortages, excess stock, misplaced merchandise and system errors.
- Maintain proper documentation of inventory discrepancies and corrective actions.
- Ensure 100% inventory accuracy for high-value bridal and designer merchandise.
1. Inventory Ageing & Stock Optimisation
- Prepare and analyse inventory ageing reports.
- Identify slow-moving, non-moving and dead stock.
- Track products that have remained unsold beyond defined ageing periods.
- Coordinate with the sales and management teams for suitable action on ageing inventory.
- Monitor seasonal collections and ensure timely stock rotation.
- Provide recommendations for transfers, promotions, markdowns or other stock optimisation measures.
1. Replenishment & Stock Transfers
- Monitor stock availability across all stores.
- Identify replenishment requirements based on sales trends and store requirements.
- Coordinate inter-store stock transfers.
- Ensure proper documentation and ERP updating for all transfers.
- Track stock in transit and ensure timely receipt confirmation.
- Maintain optimum stock levels without unnecessary overstocking.
1. Bridal & Customer Order Inventory
- Maintain accurate inventory records for bridal bookings, customer reservations and advance orders.
- Ensure reserved merchandise is clearly identified and not accidentally sold.
- Track garments sent for alterations, customisation, embroidery, finishing or tailoring.
- Coordinate with sales and tailoring/design teams to ensure timely movement and return of customer garments.
- Maintain proper records for customised and made-to-order outfits.
1. ERP & Reporting
- Ensure all inventory transactions are accurately updated in Logic ERP or equivalent retail ERP software.
- Generate daily, weekly and monthly inventory reports.
- Prepare reports on:
- Stock availability
- Stock movement
- Inventory ageing
- Dead stock
- Slow-moving stock
- Stock discrepancies
- Store transfers
- Replenishment requirements
- Stock in transit
- Customer reservations
- High-value inventory
- Present inventory insights and recommendations to management.
1. Coordination with Accounts
- Coordinate with the Accounts team for inventory reconciliation.
- Assist in reconciliation between ERP records, invoices and accounting records in Tally.
- Verify purchase and sales-related inventory documentation.
- Support month-end and year-end stock reconciliation.
- Ensure proper documentation for stock adjustments, returns and write-offs.
1. Store Operations & SOP Compliance
- Ensure all stores follow standard inventory handling and storage procedures.
- Implement and monitor inventory SOPs across company-owned and franchise stores.
- Train store staff on stock handling, tagging, billing-related inventory processes and stock documentation.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of premium sarees, bridal outfits and delicate designer garments.
- Conduct periodic operational and inventory audits at stores and franchise locations.
1. Coordination with Designers & Production Teams
- Coordinate with designers and production teams regarding new collections and stock availability.
- Track movement of garments between design, production, warehouse and retail stores.
- Maintain accurate records of unfinished, completed, altered and customised garments.
- Monitor stock received from designers and ensure correct SKU/style coding.
- Coordinate with designers and sales teams for product identification and inventory queries.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Logistics, Business Administration, Retail Management or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in inventory management, preferably in fashion, ethnic wear, bridal wear, designer retail or luxury retail.
- Hands-on experience with Logic ERP or similar ERP software is preferred/mandatory.
- Good working knowledge of Tally and inventory reconciliation.
- Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills.
- Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Ability to manage high-value and sensitive inventory.
- Willingness to travel between stores, warehouse and franchise locations when required.

Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is someone who is highly organised, commercially aware, analytical and hands-on, with the ability to manage both numbers and people. They should understand that designer and bridal inventory requires a high level of control because products are often high-value, unique, seasonal, customised and sometimes one-of-a-kind. The person should be comfortable working closely with store managers, sales teams, designers, tailors, warehouse teams, accounts and senior management to ensure that the right product is available at the right location at the right time, with complete inventory accuracy.
Pay: ₹55,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
