Job Overview

MM Hospital, Pappinissery is looking for an experienced Nursing Superintendent to oversee nursing operations and ensure high standards of patient care, staff coordination, and nursing service delivery across the hospital.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate the overall nursing operations of the hospital.
- Ensure proper nursing care and adherence to hospital policies and procedures.
- Monitor nursing staff performance, attendance, duty allocation, and manpower requirements.
- Prepare and coordinate nursing duty rosters and shift arrangements.
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention, patient safety, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with doctors, administration, and other departments for smooth patient care.
- Monitor nursing documentation, records, and reporting procedures.
- Identify training requirements and support continuous development of nursing staff.
- Address patient-care-related concerns and coordinate appropriate corrective actions.
- Ensure proper implementation of hospital protocols and nursing standards.
- Monitor the availability and appropriate use of nursing supplies and equipment.




- Support accreditation and quality improvement activities.
- Handle nursing-related incidents and ensure timely reporting and follow-up.
- Conduct regular rounds and monitor the overall functioning of nursing units.

Qualifications
- GNM or B.Sc. Nursing qualification.
- Valid nursing registration.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant hospital nursing experience.
- Experience in a multispecialty hospital is preferred.
- Previous experience in a nursing supervisory or managerial role is desirable.
- Good leadership, communication, coordination, and administrative skills.
