§ Duty manager will be responsible for the effective functioning of the hospital for night shifts.

§ Duty starts by 7pm and ends up by 7am

§ Should take a handover from all departments at 7:00pm like o Front Office – Census, Waiting for admission o Housekeeping – Duty routine, any fumigation, any room maintenance o Electrical Department – Breakdown, any scheduled work, Power Shut Down Plan o Security – any issues o Nursing – Any sick patients at risk of being death/AMA o Billing - Billing status of Possible Death/AMA patients, Insurance approval status and not discharged patients o IT – any Server downtime/work

§ Duty manager has to do the hospital rounds o Timings: 8:00PM, 12:00AM, 2:30AM, 6:00AM o Should look for unusual activities o Excess Patient Attenders o Unnoticed materials of Patients o Cleanliness of areas o Non-Working electrical/Damaged Civil Building Parts o Sleeping Staffs o Non-Working Ideal sitting staffs o Not Closed Admin areas o If any vulnerable / issue making Patient - Code grey





§ Make sure about the doctors and staff availability in the concerned departments.

§ Responsible for patient admission counseling and financial matters.

§ Coordinating with doctors and other staff whenever required to facilitate effective and smooth functioning of the hospital.

§ Coordination with transport dept. External diagnostic centres,tie-up hospitals&, blood bank, if required

§ Thorough security rounds of all the postings of all the floors and other places

§ Responsible to guide & monitor the front office activities like registration, billing, attending phone calls, patient enquiries, schedule of appointments for doctors etc.

§ Coordinate with depts like lab, pharmacy, wards, doctors, canteen, housekeeping, security, emergency etc.

§ Coordinate with patient diet related issues.

§ Coordinate with duty doctor/Medical Director to admit the patients if the duty doctors are not available on emergency situation.

§ Arrange transportation facility for doctors and staff during on call if necessary.

§ Update Sr.Manager-Operations/Medical Director in case of crisis occurs on clinical maters

§ Keeping track of emergency cases
