About The Role We are seeking highly skilled Backend Engineers to join our talented development team at Vola Finance. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in backend development, who are eager to take end-to-end ownership of core systems and contribute to building scalable, reliable, and high-performance products.

As a Backend Engineer or Senior Backend Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining our backend infrastructure, ensuring it aligns with business goals and technical excellence. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, frontend developers, QA, and DevOps to deliver innovative solutions that enhance user experience and operational efficiency.

Qualifications The ideal candidate should possess a solid foundation in backend development with a minimum of three years of experience for the Backend Engineer role or five years for the Senior Backend Engineer position. Expertise in Node.js and NestJS is essential, along with a strong understanding of database systems such as MySQL and NoSQL databases like MongoDB.





Candidates should have hands-on experience with microservices architecture, distributed systems, and cloud platforms, particularly AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, and SQS. Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker, monitoring solutions such as ELK Stack and Grafana, and CI/CD pipelines is highly desirable. A good grasp of design principles like SOLID, design patterns, and clean architecture will be instrumental in delivering high-quality solutions.

Excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently, and a proactive mindset are key attributes we seek.

Responsibilities

- Take full ownership of backend services, from gathering requirements, designing system architecture, to deployment and ongoing support.
- Develop scalable, secure, and maintainable backend applications using Node.js and NestJS frameworks.
- Architect and implement microservices-based systems and distributed applications to support business growth.
- Design efficient database schemas, optimize queries, and implement indexing strategies to enhance performance.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and asynchronous workflows to facilitate seamless integration with frontend and third-party services.
- Translate complex business requirements into robust technical solutions, ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Ensure the reliability, security, and performance of applications through industry best practices and rigorous testing.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and observability tools to proactively identify and resolve issues.




- Troubleshoot production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and develop preventive measures to minimize downtime.
- Lead architectural discussions, contribute to engineering best practices, and uphold high code quality standards through code reviews.
