Gemcare Kamineni is looking for a agile and experienced Nursing Superintendent for our Kurnool unit. This is a leadership role requiring a blend of clinical excellence, administrative prowess, and strategic planning to manage our multispecialty nursing department.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical & Operational Oversight

- Daily Monitoring: Take over reports from Nursing Supervisors regarding VIP and critical patients.
- Wards & Rounds: Conduct daily rounds to delegate work and ensure clinical standards are met.
- Resource Management: Determine optimal nursing staffing levels to meet institutional objectives.
- Crisis Management: Develop and implement plans for emergency and crisis situations.
- Discipline: Maintain strict departmental discipline and systems.

Leadership & Administration

- Recruitment: Develop active recruitment plans, conduct interviews, and select top-tier nursing talent.
- Coordination: Act as a bridge between management, clinicians, and other hospital departments.
- Meetings: Conduct weekly meetings with Nursing Supervisors/Sister-in-Charges and attend HOD meetings promptly.
- Hostel Management: Administer and ensure the smooth functioning of the Staff Nursing Hostel.

Quality & Education

- Staff Development: Organize regular in-service education sessions led by doctors and senior nursing personnel.
- Academic Liaison:



Supervise nursing students in coordination with the School/College Principal and facilitate Nursing Council inspections.
- Quality Control: Participate in departmental quality initiatives, safety norms, and data collection.
- Auditing: Lead yearly internal and external audits.

Performance & Accountability

- Evaluations: Establish evaluation criteria and conduct half-yearly and annual performance appraisals.
- Asset Management: Stay accountable for manpower, materials, and maintenance of all medical equipment and nursing records.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Education: M.Sc Nursing / B.Sc Nursing with relevant certifications.
- Experience: Proven track record as a Nursing Superintendent or Deputy Nursing Superintendent in a large multispecialty hospital.
- Location: Must be willing to be stationed in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh.
- Skills:

1. Strong leadership and conflict-resolution skills.
2. Excellent coordination with Management and Internal Clinicians.
3. In-depth knowledge of nursing quality standards (NABH/JCI).
4. Expertise in manpower planning and auditing.
