About The Role WorldWide Technology Holding Co, LLC. (WWT) is seeking a highly experienced Lead / Subject Matter Expert (SME) Network Engineer for a remote, long-term contract position. The ideal candidate will serve as a technical leader within our complex delivery team, providing expert guidance on network infrastructure projects.

This role involves designing, building, and deploying sophisticated network solutions that align with business needs, ensuring seamless integration into existing environments, and transitioning solutions into operational support. The Lead / SME Network Engineer will play a pivotal role in driving large transformational programs, collaborating with internal stakeholders and external vendors, and maintaining high standards of compliance and best practices across all network disciplines.

Qualifications Candidates should possess more than 10 years of demonstrable experience leading, designing,



and implementing complex network solutions within regulated industries or large enterprise environments. Proven experience operating as a Lead Engineer on complex programs, with the ability to technically lead teams and communicate progress effectively to leadership, is essential.

The ideal candidate should have a proactive approach to workload and time management, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and excellent communication capabilities to explain complex solutions clearly to diverse stakeholders.

Certifications such as Cisco CCIE Enterprise, FortiGate Professional, or F5 LTM/GTM at Certified Technical Specialist level are advantageous. In-depth technical knowledge of Cisco routing and switching, Juniper routing, F5 load balancers, Fortinet FortiGate, Cisco Firepower, Cisco campus wireless, and security solutions like Blue Coat, Symantec Proxy, and Zscaler is preferred.

Responsibilities

- Act as a Lead or SME within the network engineering domain, guiding project teams and ensuring technical excellence.
- Design, develop, and deploy network infrastructure solutions that meet business requirements and adhere to architectural standards.
- Lead end-to-end delivery of large-scale transformational programs, managing scope, timelines, and resources effectively.
- Produce detailed low-level design documentation and ensure all designs align with current architectural guidelines.




- Coordinate with global support teams to facilitate the transition of delivered solutions into operational support, ensuring smooth handover and knowledge transfer.
- Maintain compliance with governance, change management, and audit requirements across all network disciplines.
- Engage with internal stakeholders and external vendors to facilitate project execution, providing regular updates and escalating issues as necessary.
- Estimate workloads and project timelines accurately, ensuring deliverables are met within scope and schedule.
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues promptly.
- Make informed decisions throughout project lifecycles to optimize delivery and mitigate potential risks.
