We are looking for an experienced finance and accounting leader to head the Accounts function. The role will be responsible for driving financial reporting, efficient book closure, strong accounting controls, regulatory compliance and continuous improvement across accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintains sufficient funds by forecasting cash requirements and obligations

- Lead monthly, quarterly and annual book closure processes and ensure adherence to established policies and timelines.

- Oversee periodic financial reporting and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and financial reporting requirements.

- Review balance sheet schedules, office accounts, reconciliations and expense ledgers.

- Consolidate and finalise financial data for quarterly, half-yearly and annual public disclosures.

- Prepare financial summaries, management representations and strategic updates for senior management, the Audit Committee and the Board.

- Monitor and Verify all Payments to Third Party Vendors

- Coordinate with internal and statutory auditors and ensure timely closure of audit observations.

- Establish and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, SOPs and governance frameworks.

- Review key regulatory reports prepared by the Finance and Accounts function.

- Partner with business and functional leaders to provide financial guidance and interpret financial outcomes.





- Provide timely accounting inputs for forecasting and financial planning.

- Identify opportunities for automation, MIS enhancement, data analytics and reduction of transactional workload.

- Monitor developments in accounting standards and Central and State taxation requirements.

- Lead, coach and develop the Accounts team, with a focus on compliance, process excellence, technology adoption and internal customer service.

Desired Candidate Profile

- Qualified Chartered Accountant with12 to 15 years of overall experience, including 8 to 10 years in a leadership role.

- Strong experience in banking or the financial services sector.

- Prior experience with a Big Four firm would be preferred.

- Sound understanding of accounting standards; exposure to Ind AS is preferred.

- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, book closure, reconciliations, internal controls and regulatory reporting.

- Experience in managing internal auditors, statutory auditors, consultants and other external stakeholders.

- Proficiency in accounting systems and banking technology platforms such as Oracle Financials, Finacle and BR.Net.

- Demonstrated experience in process automation, MIS improvement and financial data analytics.

- Robust stakeholder management, influencing, communication and presentation capabilities.

- Proven ability to manage teams, drive execution, facilitate change and support continuous learning.
