Role Description The Medical Physics Intern is a full-time, on-site role based at VADAMALAYAN HOSPITALS PRIVATE LIMITED. in Madurai. The intern will support the medical physics team in daily operations, including assisting with quality assurance checks of diagnostic and therapeutic equipment, helping verify radiation safety procedures, and contributing to treatment planning activities under supervision.

Responsibilities may include collecting and analyzing clinical data, documenting test results, maintaining accurate records,



and collaborating with medical staff to ensure safe and effective patient care. The role involves learning and applying relevant medical physics principles, participating in case discussions, and adhering to hospital protocols and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

- Foundational knowledge in general Medicine and patient care principles.
- Understanding of Cardiology concepts relevant to imaging, diagnostics, or treatment planning.
- Awareness of Orthopedic Surgery workflows and the use of imaging and radiation in musculoskeletal care.
- Basic familiarity with clinical Treatment planning, dose calculation, and safety considerations.
- Introductory knowledge of Neurology and neuro-imaging or neuro-intervention procedures.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Medical Physics, Physics, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to follow protocols, work effectively in a clinical team, and communicate clearly with healthcare professionals.
- Commitment to patient safety, ethical practice, and continuous learning in a hospital workplace.
