Role Description The Medical Record Analyst is a full-time, on-site role based in the Pune Division. The role involves reviewing, organizing, and validating medical records for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements, including HIPAA.

The Medical Record

Analyst will retrieve and index health information from multiple systems, support Release of Information and record retrieval processes, and ensure timely and secure documentation handling. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with internal teams and client stakeholders, resolving discrepancies in patient records, updating electronic systems,



and preparing reports or summaries to support revenue cycle and litigation workflows. The role also requires following defined workflows, meeting productivity and quality targets, and contributing to continuous process improvements within AMI’s co-managed operations model.

Qualifications

- Health information and medical records expertise: ability to review, organize, and interpret medical records and documentation; familiarity with healthcare terminology and record retrieval processes.
- Compliance and data security awareness: understanding of HIPAA and other relevant healthcare privacy standards; commitment to maintaining confidentiality and working within secure, compliant environments.
- Technical and systems proficiency: comfort working with electronic health record (EHR) systems, document management tools, and basic data entry/spreadsheet applications; ability to learn new platforms quickly.
- Analytical and detail-oriented skills: strong attention to detail, ability to identify inconsistencies in records, and capacity to follow structured workflows while meeting accuracy and productivity targets.
- Communication and teamwork: clear written and verbal communication skills, ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams and clients, and readiness to work in an in office, collaborative setting.
- Education and experience: diploma or degree in health information management, life sciences, healthcare administration, or a related field; prior experience in medical records, RCM, ROI, or healthcare operations is preferred.
