Key Responsibilities
1. Translate the approved project scope into a mechanical execution strategy covering plant packages, utilities, material handling and balance-of-plant systems.
2. Lead design-basis, specification, layout, P&ID;, equipment-selection, constructability and vendor-document reviews; close technical interfaces before field execution.
3. Support procurement through technical bid evaluation,
vendor clarification, inspection planning, expediting priorities and readiness of long-lead mechanical equipment.
4. Develop package-wise construction methodology, resource loading, lifting and erection plans, installation sequences, quality gates and commissioning logic.
5. Direct installation, alignment, piping, lubrication, flushing, hydro-testing, trial runs, performance guarantee tests, reliability runs and final mechanical acceptance.
6. Govern contractors through measurable productivity norms, look-ahead planning, work-front readiness, progress verification, billing validation and timely corrective action.
7. Maintain strict compliance with approved drawings, OEM requirements, ITPs, welding/NDT controls, statutory requirements and project EHS standards.
8. Integrate mechanical interfaces with Civil, E&I;, Design, Procurement, Quality, Planning, Commissioning and Operations to prevent clashes and start-up delays.
