nJob Responsibilities:

nDesign & Engineering Review:

n

n
- Review mechanical design documents (drawings, calculations, specs) for cooling, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
n
- Provide technical input to optimize system design for PUE, water usage effectiveness (WUE), and reliability.
n
- Coordinate with consultants and vendors to finalize detailed engineering drawings.
n

nProject Execution & Supervision:

n





n
- Supervise the installation of all mechanical systems, including:
n
- Chilled Water Plants (Chillers, Pumps, CPM)
n
- Computer Room Air Handlers (CRAHs) / Fan Wall Units and Air Conditioning Units
n
- DX Refrigeration Systems
n
- Water Treatment and Plumbing Systems
n
- Fire Suppression Systems (e.g., Gas based suppression system, Pre-action Sprinklers)
n
- Conduct daily site supervision to ensure contractors adhere to approved methodologies, quality standards, and specifications
n
- Ensure contractors follow approved shop drawings, quality standards, and installation schedules.
n
- Coordinate with other discipline engineers (Electrical, BMS, Civil) to ensure seamless integration of systems.
n
- Resolve site conflicts and interface issues with electrical and structural teams.
n

nTesting & Commissioning:

n

n
- Develop and review Mechanical T&C; procedures and method statements.
n
- Witness equipment FAT (e.g., chiller performance tests) and SAT.
n
- Oversee system balancing, pressure tests, and performance validation of all mechanical systems.
n
- Support the T&C; Lead during IST for mechanical system failures and resilience tests.
n

nDocumentation & Compliance:

n

n
- Maintain meticulous records of mechanical installations, test reports, and compliance certificates.
n
- Ensure all mechanical works adhere to relevant ASHRAE, SMACNA, and local building codes.
n
- Facilitate a smooth handover of mechanical systems to the Operations team with complete documentation.
n

nRequirements:

n

n
- Diploma or Bachelor's of Engineering in Mechanical engineering.
n
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 3 years in data center or mission-critical environments.
n
- Strong expertise in HVAC design, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics.
n
- Knowledge of critical cooling technologies and industry best practices.
n
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other design tools is a plus.
n
