Marketing Specialist, ORM & MarkOps
Industry: EdTech (Education Technology)
Location: Bangalore
Reporting To: Associate Director, Global Brand & Comms
Position Overview
This role covers two things for Brand & Comms: Marketing Operations and Online Reputation Management.
On the ORM side, you're responsible for how TutorCloud shows up across reviews, mentions, and public conversation, and for responding to it directly. On the MarkOps side, you're keeping our campaign tracking, reporting, and collateral timelines accurate so the rest of the team can rely on them. Both sides report up through the same role because they depend on the same thing: attention to detail and consistent followthrough.
It's a hands-on role, and a good one for someone early in their career who wants exposure to both the public facing and the behind-the-scenes side of marketing rather than just one. If you've done any content writing before, that helps a lot here, since you'll often be the one writing what actually goes out under the brand's name.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Operations
Keep our tracking sheets and dashboards accurate: pipeline, lead source, campaign performance, all of it Run regular reporting check-ins with sales and pre-sales
Track collateral like gifting, brochures, and event materials against deadlines so nothing slips
Support day to day campaign operations across social, SEO, and events: scheduling, tagging, UTM tracking, basic reporting
Keep our marketing tools (CRM, scheduling, analytics) organized so people can actually find what they need.
Online Reputation Management
Monitor reviews, mentions, and sentiment across Google (including our Google My Business listing), G2 or Capterra style platforms,
Reddit, Quora, app stores, and social media; this is the core of ORM for us, and no channel gets skipped
Own our Google My Business profile: keep listing details accurate, respond to every review, and treat it as a genuine trust signal for schools researching us before they ever call sales
Track how TutorCloud comes up on Reddit and Quora, comparison threads, parent and teacher questions, general EdTech discussions, and step in with a helpful, non-salesy response when it's actually useful
Write and manage responses to reviews and public feedback, working with the Brand & Comms team on tone
Follow a explicit escalation process when something risky comes up, keep an eye on app store reviews alongside Google and G2, and aim to respond within about 24 hours Send leadership a regular sentiment and mentions update.
Work proactively on reputation too, not just reacting: asking for reviews and testimonials, surfacing good coverage.
What Success Looks Like in the First 90 Days
Sales actually trusts the tracking sheets because they're kept clean and current A sentiment and mentions report is running regularly, and nothing sits unnoticed for more than a day or two
At least one event's gifting, brochures, and collateral get handled start to finish without a last-minute scramble
Brand sentiment is trending up, not just steady, across Google, GMB, Reddit, Quora, and app store reviews.
Who You Are
1 to 2 years in marketing, brand, communications, or operations, agency or in-house both work
Comfortable with Excel or Google Sheets day to day; knowing a CRM (HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho) or a listening tool (Hootsuite, Sprinklr, Brandwatch) is a plus but not required
Some familiarity with Google My Business, Reddit, and Quora as real ORM channels, not just social media in the usual sense, is a genuine plus Writes well, since you'll be speaking for the brand publicly, including in situations that need some tact Content writing experience is preferred, it helps on both sides of this role, public responses and campaign copy alike
Organized and detail-focused, the kind of person other teams can rely on to keep a tracker accurate
Fine switching between the public, reactive side of the job and the quieter operational side, without letting either one slide
EdTech, SaaS, or B2B marketing background is a plus, not a requirement.
What We Offer A front-row seat to both the operational and public sides of a Brand & Comms function that's still being built out
Real ownership of your own processes from the start, not just following someone else's setup Close working access to the Brand & Comms leadership team, plus regular visibility with sales and presales Space to grow into a broader marketing or brand role as TutorCloud scales up
Equal Opportunity Employer
We are committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Applications are welcome from candidates of all backgrounds and experiences.
