About NxtWave
NxtWave is one of Indias fastest-growing tech upskilling organisations. An official partner of the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and a World Economic Forum Technology Pioneer (2024), our mission is to bridge the gap between education and employability. Our programs equip youth—many of them first-generation graduates—with industry-relevant technical skills and a job-ready portfolio.
To date, NxtWave has learners across 35 states and Union Territories with alumni hired by 2,000+ companies, including Google, Amazon, Nvidia, Goldman Sachs, Oracle, and Deloitte, delivering tangible hiring outcomes.
Founded by Rahul Attuluri (ex-Amazon, IIIT Hyderabad), Sashank Reddy (IIT Bombay), and Anupam Pedarla (IIT Kharagpur), NxtWave has raised 275 crore, led by Greater Pacific Capital. Founders Anupam Pedarla and Sashank Gujjula were recognized in the 2024 Forbes India 30 Under 30 for their outstanding contributions to transforming tech education in India.
Role Purpose To lead quality and compliance for customer communication within a product establishing the standards that govern how our programs are represented, and building the monitoring and verification systems that keep every conversation with a student or parent accurate and consistent.
About the Role
Our teams speak to students and their families every day about programs, fees, loans, internships and careers. This role sets the standard for what can be said in those conversations, and runs the systems that check we're holding to it.
You'll own this end to end for one of our products, through two levers:
- Audit — a defined standard for each type of conversation, and a review process that checks calls and sessions against it. Your team runs the reviews; you own the standard, the process and the findings.
- Verification — a conversation with the student and parent before onboarding, confirming their understanding of the program,
fees and terms matches what we actually offer.
You'll write the standards, build the review process and hire the team that runs it. Part of the review is AI-assisted, so there's scope to shape the tooling alongside the process. What You'll Own
- The communication standard. Write the rulebook for each type of conversation — what may and may not be said about fees, loans, placements, internships and program terms. Keep it current as products and pricing change. Decide what's a critical breach and what's coachable.
- Audit - Decide what gets sampled and how much, weighted to risk. Own the scorecard. Run calibration so two auditors reviewing the same call reach the same verdict. Sign off findings before they reach the business.
- Verification - Own coverage, turnaround and script for pre-onboarding verification. Own the escalation path when a student raises a query. Where a gap surfaces, trace it back to the original conversation and review it.
- Consequence - Propose what level of breach leads to what action. Recommend action on individual cases.
- Training feedback - Share findings with the training team so training reflects what surfaces in review, and track the impact on recurring themes.
- Team - Hire, train and develop Team Leads, Associates and Ops support. Decide how their time splits between audit and verification.
- Business relationship - Counterpart to the product's sales leadership. Present findings, support them with evidence, and track remediation through to closure.
Must Have
- 4–6 years experience,
with at least 2 years running a quality or compliance function rather than working within one
- Experience hiring and managing a team
- Background in conversation-level quality or compliance monitoring — contact centre quality, or compliance monitoring in lending, insurance or financial services. Sales or counselling exposure is a huge plus
- Ability to turn a broad principle into specific, checkable rules
- Ability to hold a position with senior stakeholders while keeping the working relationship constructive
Good to Have
- Multilingual — Telugu, Hindi, Tamil or Kannada.
Our learners are spread across these markets and it helps to review conversations directly
- Experience in an setting where a verification or confirmation call sits between the sale and the contract
- Exposure to AI-assisted quality review
- Experience setting up a function rather than inheriting one
- Familiarity with education, consumer lending or another high-consideration sale where the customer commits over a long period
Why This Role You will own what an organisation of this scale is allowed to say to its customers. The standards you write become the rules every sales conversation runs on, and the systems you build decide whether those rules hold.
Very few roles at this level carry that much say over how a company operates.
It is a build, not a handover. You define the standards, design the review process, choose what gets measured, and hire the team that runs it. You will also help shape how AI is used in review — an area where very little is settled anywhere, and where what you decide here becomes the way it is done.
The function is being established across all three of our products. You would own it end to end for one, with a hand in shaping the structure, tooling and ways of working across the rest.
