Key Responsibilities

1.

New Product

Development & Documentation

- Develop new products as per customer and organisational requirements.

- Prepare and maintain all NPD-related process documentation, including:

- APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) charts

- Process Flow Diagrams (PFD)

- Control Plans

- Work Instructions for critical components and assemblies

- PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) documentation

- Part Submission Warrant (PSW)

2.

Vendor

Development

- Identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers for recent product components within targeted cost parameters.

- Develop and qualify vendors for castings, forgings, and other critical components.

3.

Process

Development & Manufacturing Readiness

- Ability to read & understand the Engineering drawings.

- Establish manufacturing, assembly, testing, and painting processes for new products.

- Provide technical guidance and support to vendors to achieve quality, delivery, and cost objectives.

- Coordinate vendor trials and approval activities.





- Develop process documentation and standard operating procedures.

4.

Project

Planning & Execution

- Prepare detailed project timelines and activity schedules for NPD projects.

- Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to customer timelines.

- Coordinate with Design, Production, Quality, Purchase, and Vendor teams to achieve project milestones.

- Prepare and present weekly project status reports to management.

5.

Continuous

Improvement

- Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and quality improvement during product development.

- Support implementation of engineering changes and product improvements.

- Ensure compliance with applicable quality management systems and customer requirements.

- Design, develop, and validate fixtures, gauges, assembly aids, and testing setups.

- Ensure process capability and manufacturability before product launch.
