Position: Manager – NSS (National Service Scheme)

Location: Chandigarh University, Mohali, Punjab

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, coordinate, and implement NSS activities, camps, awareness programmes, and community outreach initiatives.
- Manage and guide NSS student volunteers and encourage active participation in social service activities.
- Coordinate regular NSS programmes such as cleanliness drives, blood donation camps, plantation drives, health awareness programmes, literacy initiatives, and community development activities.
- Organize NSS Special Camps, orientation programmes, workshops, rallies, and awareness campaigns.
- Coordinate with government departments, NGOs, hospitals, local authorities, community organizations, and other external stakeholders.
- Develop annual/monthly activity calendars and ensure timely execution of approved NSS programmes.
- Maintain accurate records of NSS volunteers, activities, attendance, photographs, reports, expenditure, and participation certificates.
- Prepare periodic reports, presentations, proposals, and documentation for university management and relevant authorities.
- Monitor NSS programme budgets, logistics, resources, and event-related requirements.
- Ensure compliance with University policies and applicable NSS guidelines and procedures.




- Promote student leadership, social responsibility, civic engagement, and community participation.
- Coordinate transportation, accommodation, permissions, venues, equipment, and other logistics for NSS events and camps.
- Support recognition and appreciation initiatives for active NSS volunteers.
- Conduct post-event reviews and evaluate the impact and effectiveness of NSS initiatives.
- Handle any other responsibilities assigned by the University management related to student engagement and community outreach.

Experience
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in NSS, student affairs, community outreach, social initiatives, NGO management, or a similar role.
- Experience in a university/college or educational institution will be an advantage.
- Candidates with proven experience in organizing large-scale student/community programmes will be preferred.
- Candidates with relevant experience in NSS, youth development, community engagement, social development, student affairs, or NGO/community programmes will be preferred.
- Valuable knowledge of NSS activities, programmes, documentation, and volunteer management.

Pay: ₹50,958.96 - ₹75,330.22 per month
